Teddington were blown away by London Scottish Lions on Saturday as the league leaders put in a display of pace and power in a game they dominated throughout. To offer an excuse, this was a week of widespread unavailability across the senior club, which resulted in fielding a completely rejigged back line. Trying to quickly adjust to new combinations in such as a short space of time was always going to be difficult, and to do that against the league leaders was a huge challenge. Scottish were dominant in all areas though and wasted no time in exerting their superiority. The game was done by half time as the hosts blasted their way to a 48-0 lead. The second half saw the Antlers fire some of their own shots and there were trys for Tom BOYNTON and Will MAVIN, but inevitably there were more scores for the Lions as Teddington tried to push for points of their own. It goes without saying this was a difficult afternoon, but credit must be given to the Teddington players who stepped in for this one; never once did they stop trying to play rugby, even when the cards were stacked heavily against them. Well done to London Scottish; they are well placed to finish top of the table in what has been an impressive season for them. Teddington now have a week off to reset before the final two league games and a chance to finish the league program on a positive note. Final Score London Scottish Lions RFC 83 Teddington RFC 14. Man of the Match Will MAVIN.
