It is with great sadness to announce the untimely and unexpected death of Martin STOCKHAM. Martin died suddenly last weekend and our thoughts are with his family and friends, but particularly his partner Carole and son Jack. Martin was part of last seasons Colts management team and had been a club volunteer for over 13 years. Martin came to the club as a keen and enthusiastic Dad when his son Jack started in the U6’s. Jack played in every age group team all the way through to the Colts XV. In fact Jack was last seasons Colts captain. Martin was there throughout to provide not only the usual fatherly advice and support, but he also helped to manage the various age group teams over the years. Martin was also the official team photographer, kit man and was instrumental in helping the club get a defined policy together on the retention and recruitment of players in the 17-23 age group. Martin will be greatly missed.
