Dedication and hard work recognised by England Rugby

On Saturday (April 20th), the Antlers women’s team received a special invitation from The RFU to carry the flags during the England v Ireland match at Twickenham Stadium in the Women’s Six Nations tournament. This opportunity was in recognition of the dedication and hard work The Antlers Womens Team have put in throughout an impressive season of team rebuilding.

The day began with flag rehearsals, followed by a free meal before the main event. They enjoyed prime seats on the sidelines and celebrated during the halftime show. After the game, they had a great catch-up with Antlers Alumni (The Old Deers) and headed out for further celebrations!

Captain Rosie NEWTON said "it was incredible to go out there and hold the flags as the players ran out and sang the national anthem, it was a huge privilege and so well deserved as the team has worked hard to put ourselves in a really good position for the year ahead, the strength and resilience the team has shown this season is unmatched and they carry the antlers spirit no matter what’s thrown at them".
